It’s that time of the year again when perennial aquatic plants reach their peaks for speed of growth as well as for biomass protein and amino acid production.  It’s the summer solstice that signals our harvest.  Docks, vessels and other floating structures in harbours are weighted down by the incredible biomass that accumulates as sunshine and current exchange provide optimal conditions for plant growth.  We aim to recover and repurpose algae growth which is removed for facility maintenance and turn it into a fertilizer for on-shore gardening and agriculture.  Sea Forest Liquid Kelp Fertilizer is produced over 6-12 months through a cold-press breakdown process that allows for maximum nutrient retention.  By harvesting these plants, any excess accumulation of sequestered carbon is removed from the water source, thereby allowing waterways to absorb more carbon from the atmosphere and stabilize to a healthy PH for marine organisms that live there.  

Sea Forest Liquid Kelp is nutrient dense, boasting natural plant growth hormones, mild N-P-K values as well as trace elements that are only bioavailable to flora.  Liquid Kelp promotes moisture retention in soil, protects from common pests and supports vascular development for vegetative growth, which is critical for food & medicinal crops, as well as flowers.
